Just went tonight. Had a lot of fun. Met some really nice girls, but who knows if any of them were a "connection." I mean, it was only 8 minutes. I went in with the attitude that I would have fun, and I did. 3 girls were really cute, so we'll see if they "matched" me. All in all, I would recommend Speed Dating for anyone just looking to have a fun hour or two. Don't go expecting anything, and you'll have fun.

Oh, the days of old.

I crashed two different speed dating events in the past, or at least attempted to crash them.

One of them I was able to successfully infiltrate the group after the actual speed dating, even filled out one of those stupid name tags. The girls didn't seem to care, or notice. It's funny, when you act as if they know you and have meet you before people generally seem to comply. The other one wasn't as successful, couldn't even get to the part of the restaurant that the event was being held at thanks to the front desk Nazi...

Howie, to answer your question, these girls tend to be 'cute.' Not really 'hot.' But, they also tend to have something else going for them in their lives, i.e. work and a career. Thus, the reason for trying speed dating.

Dead Poet, I assume you did this through 8 minute dating right?

To answer, the girls were cute. They tended to be a bit older, 30-40. They all were employed, successful women. This was through date and dash.

Has anyone ever tried this? I've seen it on movies like hitch. It's going to be at Dukes in Addison next Wednesday (the13th) and you have to rsvp on facebook. It looks really fun and it's only $5 Someone hit me up if you want to go. I'm down.

I saw the attending list and older women isn't really my thing. I'm not so sure how much fun that would be...
