So far I have gone to:
Rethreads (North Dallas on Preson just south of LBJ) - Not a very impressive place, there are some random finds to be had but their prices are a little higher than I was expecting for what they stock. Their website would lead you to believe that they stock only designer clothing but I saw some cheap crap on their racks. Arizona Jeans anyone? This might be a good place to take your brand name (but not designer) clothing. I might drop some stuff off there pretty soon.
Couture Consignment (Uptown on Oaklawn Ave close to Cedar Springs) - As Hunter Rose mentioned in an earlier post their prices are pretty close to retail. You can save money if you get into the really expensive brands but other than that, its a bit overpriced. Another thing I did not like was the fact that they had like 3 or 4 people working there (maybe one was a friend) in a pretty small store (where I was the only customer). I felt like I was constantly being watched. I asked about consignment and they take a minimum of 5 items at a time. If you have super expensive shit to get rid of I would consider this place otherwise don't bother. They don't seem to have the traffic or the demand for that stuff. One pair of jeans had been there for over 6 months. I probably won't be back.
Buffalo Exchange (Greenville Ave in between Montecello and Mockingbird) - This is the best place that I have been to so far. Most of their inventory is suitable for people 18 to 30 (while other places waste half their space with frumpy old man clothes). Lots of cool shirts and other items to choose from and the prices are very reasonable (which is kind of the point of going to one of these places anyway, to get a deal). Lots of hot chicks shopping here too. This is the only place that I know of that pays cash for your clothes (but since the prices are so reasonable I doubt they pay that much). I will be back.
If anyone has been to other places post a review here.
