How much does looks count

I was wondering... when running game is some stuff overkill when you are better looking?

Is it really: the better you look the less you have to try?

yep, better looking you are the less attraction you have to build. Now, long term there is a lot more than goes into it than looks. If all you have is looks and no personality, you won't go far at all.

There was a huge thread on this about a month back, check that out. [link=http://www.dallaslair.org/p/forum/forum_viewtopic.php?26519]Here's the link to it.[/link]

Looks affect it, but personality, and self-worth affect it more.

I caught this show on Discovery Channel.

[url]http://dsc.discovery.com/videos/science-of-sex-appeal/[/url]

It was very good. This link has some small segments from it.

Basically, good looking people, cross-culturally, have more options than the average or below average people.
Anything above a 6.0 on a scale of 10.0 is considered good looking.
I wish they offered this show on DVD because I'd buy it. It showed how real science looks at sex appeal. Not the bullshit the internet marketers are trying to sell to the community members.

The segment called "Out of Your League" is the one that pertains to this discussion.

You are saying that girls will be affected more by your personality and self-worth. In other words, Bullshit..
Hmmm... Do you work the same? You would be more affected by ugly girl because of her personality and self-worth? LMAO

Well, in case you have not noticed, men and women do not work the same(duh). Women are much more emotional than men are. Looks are much more important to men than they are to women. You know that fat and ugly guy with the hot chick? Well he is with her not for his looks, but because he creates an emotional feeling inside of her that becomes addictive. If you can create the emotion of attraction in a girl she will rationalize away all of your other short comings. You are no longer fat guy, you are not longer ugly guy. A womans looks are directly related to her social value, that is not necessarily the case with men. Men and women look for different things in each other. Being good looking would give you an advantage in that you won't have to work as hard to build attraction and it is easier up front. A girl is more likely to give a good looking guy an "audition" than an ugly one. But if you have nothing else to offer than looks, and you're tactic is "here I am, look at me, I have nothing else to off you", then you won't get far with that girl at all.

Check out [link=http://fastseduction.com/guide/01_The_Basic_Rules/looks.shtml]this article on mASF if you don't believe me or smirks.[/link] Here is a quote from that article " Do your looks matter? Of course they do, but not nearly as much as you think and not nearly as much as anyone else thinks. Men fundamentally judge women by their looks: face, hair, eyes, breast, legs, body, etc. and, more than anything else, it is a woman's looks that turns men on (or turns men off). For a (heterosexual) man, a woman's looks are what initially "trances" him out, whereas women tend to be seduced more by words and actions..."

You're telling me you've never seen a couple and thought, "How did HE get HER?!?!?"

C'mon now. Think. Women are more driven by the things this community refers to as attraction switches. If you can display those easily, you can pull girls you'd otherwise think were out of your league. It's a very simple concept to grasp. You see it the other way around as well. Surely you know or have seen a reasonably good looking guy with zero confidence (especially in big social situations like the typical bars we all go to) and he doesn't have a chick, can't muster up the balls to talk to a chick, and ends up alone w/ his hand.

Do I think it's exactly the same in regards to male perception of females? No. Mainly because men are VERY visual beings. Also, most men have a moral belief that we provide and therefore give the woman her self-worth (caveman mindset.)

You're disagreeing just to disagree. It's been your MO since you joined this board. That said, your opinion on any matter I care to discuss means very little to me. Thanks for playing, though.
