i have heard many a time a girl saying that she is often attracted to guys with girlfriend.therefore does anyone think it would be a good idea to tell a girl that you have a girlfriend.iv tryed it once before and i got a snog and a phone number.however im not sure if this was because it made me more attractive or because it made me feel more comfortable while talking to her.any thoughts?

When girls ask me this, I tell them:

WF: No, I don't have a girlfriend
slight pause
WF: I have 5 girlfriends.

The girl will laugh, and then I tell her I'm thinking about taking a 6th. She will say she wants to be #1. I make her qualify and then tell her I'll put her in at #4 and let her work her way up.

One of the main things women use to decide if a man is attractive, is if other attractive women find him attractive. This is called the "pre-selection" attraction switch. There are a few other attraction switches that get womens attention but this one is usually acknowledged as the most powerful.

So this is a pretty common tactic with PUAs. We go out with attractive women, to pick up other women. Also we tell stories to girls, about all the fun things we did with other girls recently (even if not all completely true).

This raises the status of a PUA in his targets eyes - it indicates to girls that he doesn't need them in particular, he has lots of girls around who love him. This has the weird effect of making the PUA more desirable to them.

If you're going to say you have a girlfriend, it's important to be congruent with that. You'll need to convey the confidence of a guy who really is pre-selected. If you say you have a girlfriend but telegraph even the slightest bit of neediness before you've built the necessary attraction, her bullshit-detector will go off immediately.

Whenever I'm asked about this I always tell that I have a few, but nothing heavy.

There exists within this tactic a hurdle. If you have all the girls you need then why are you talking to her? The pre-selected attraction switch does exist but the art of manipulating it is subtle. Also the presence of other hot chicks can sometimes scare off targets in my opinion (just a personal preference. Some guys like to pivot a lot but for me that's just more headache to manage if it's a girl you are fucking anyway because then you have to let one of them down and i'm into one on one).

One of my favourite tactics here is to utlilze the mobile phone. First of all your phone is the most male accepted accessory but true to form most guys don't use it. How often have you seen a bloke with one of those phone-in-belt clips holding a cell that looks like it was from the 1990s? Women, on the other hand, will always carry the most fasionable phone they can afford and it is like crack to them.

It's not just the type of phone you have (by the way, handing her a cool phone is by far the best #close method I know). Texting is golden in pickup land. When you make a new girl (FB, target, friend, whatever) always establish a texting relationship. Targets are not used to this behaviour in a man and are curious as to who is texting you all the time. Once they find out it is a girl they either assume you are fucking her or she wants to see the text (herein lies the art - texting girls to elicit sexual responses). She reads the saucy text and voila. Let me tell you the possibilities here are endless if you can prefect the art. It was a *private* text - she asked to see it. Her psycological response to that is trust.

One of my favourite openers back in the day was "How come girls text so fast? I put my phone down for 5 seconds and the girl has responded a whole book. WTF?"

The answer, of course, is predictive texting so I lead her to this then ask her to show me how to do it (which I already know - what a great teacher she is!). We have established a personal connection and I have simultaneously displayed high value (cool phone, saucy texts from girls, high confidence) and at the same time shown a willingness to vulnerability and openness to learning from her. Works very well.

Finally nothing scuppers LMR better than girls texting or phoning you with booty calls. "Someone's going to fuck him tonight - might as well be me" = Chick Logic. And it makes sense from a genetic standpoint. Woman are incredibly competitive when it comes to the best males. The have to be because the commodity is scarce. Much more so than hot girls.

One neat thing I saw at a bootcamp was my instructor talked about a bad previous relationship(going into details) for the reason why he doesn't have a girlfriend.

I always say

"no...,but I do have a few prospects *wink*"
works like a charm.
