I’m a truck driver. That means that I drive around to warehouses, back into a loading dock and sit and wait while they load or unload my truck. Then I go to an office and sign some paperwork. This takes about two minutes and I’m off.

There is one place where the girl that gives me the papers to sign is a knockout. She’s behind a glass, in an office surround by her co-workers. I can’t think of anything to do in the few seconds I have with her to make a connection and I don‘t want to cause a scene that may make her uncomfortable in front of her co-workers.

If she smiled at me like this in a bar, I’d know what to do. But, here I’m lost.

I was thinking about passing her a note explaining that I’d like to get to know her, but it seems AFC (not to metion highschool). What do you guys think?

Hand her a note that says, "put the money in the bag and nobody gets hurt."

Give her a hook with the potential to create a personal connection. For me that is fairly easy - I just crank up the British accent and throw in a few words you Yanks don't understand. Usually works like a charm.

Once you have established the connection use that to subtly suggest more (e.g. I might turn some quick Brit talk quip into asking if she has ever been to a real English pub). If she is into you she will take the bait.

Good question on time constrained pick ups. Elevator pulls are a fun way to practice.

Start slipping her short C&F notes. Qualify her by the 3rd-4th of these, by the 4th-5th ask her for some contact information.

open your mouth... this is work related so if it goes bad it could hurt you... if you say something its your word against hers, if you write a note it doesnt go away unless she wants it to

Thanks for the advice guys. Most of the women that work in shipping offices are fat, old or both. So, this girl gets drivers hitting on her all day I'm sure.

I've run into her twice now and I feel that if I don't something next time she'll stale out. Doing something stupid is better than doing nothing.
