Why are you learning and mastering PUA stuff for?

Silvermouth asked this question on another thread.
And I would like to know.

I am doing this because I want to be a Man... a better man.
Before PUA, I didn't know there was anything else other than being a NICE Guy and a Chump.

Someone, pushes me.... I .... I say excuse me.
You can lose your wife or GF being the Nice Guy all your Life.
Yes, I am trying to mix my own sauce too.

Most people are learning this stuff because some girl broke their heart.

I started because my ex broke up with me and I wanted to be able to meet girls. I didn't think I had what it took to meet them. I felt like I needed some sort of crutch. The truth is I did need a crutch. But only because my head told me I did. In the meantime though I learned so many other qualities.

We all have a certain level we can get to. Some of us might have started a few rungs on the ladder higher or lower than the next guy. The beauty of the community is it makes you (if you allow it to) become the real you. Sure you can get there without the community, but it certainly speeds the process and gives you almost a guideline. Then you can use what you learn in your every day life. Yes there is a bridge that goes into the real world not just pick up. What you can learn from this can help every aspect of your life.

I have a certain love for the community because I believe it made me. I was good before but now overall I am light years better.

So the mastery is actually a mastery of myself. If I can do that then picking up girls is a cinch.

I'm here to learn and to grow as an individual. But why pick-up? Why not self help or martial arts, etc...? Because I'm a man and simply put I've found nothing more intriguing than the dynamics of the ever evolving game that occurs between a man and a woman. I want to be desired by multiple women, loved by some, and the object of lust by many. But beyond women I want to train myself and teach myself thru whatever means to be a more engaged, exciting, adventurous man. The study of the pick up arts is just a tool to help me get there.

I was the stereotypical 'nice guy'. I had the generic qualities women talk about 'wanting' in the one...yet before the community only had the occasional gf few and far between.

I went through a tremendous personal growth period. I've been a late bloomer my whole life and I always felt I missed out on a lot of the experiences others may have had earlier in HS or college (when I had no success w women)

I can say that the community has fulfilled that need to have those experiences I would have never imagined at 20 or 25.

But reflecting back, while some of it was to fill those missed experiences, I can say it was mainly to feel empowered and in control of where my life was going romantically rather than needing to settle and play the all to normal society game of 'settling' just to fit some society norm.

However, after getting into the community, I've realized all the tangential benefits of the community in other aspects of life namely work/business. Eye contact, body language, confidence approaching strangers in a networking situation, leading/projecting confidence so others fall in line behind me, not letting others interupt if I'm speaking( regardless of title)...on and on. Which is why you will always see me espouse the benefits of really focusing on self improvement aspects rather than learning bs routines and panty dropper openers.

Become a better man...become a better colleague...become a better person

Typed on phone..sorry if typos.

I rarely had girlfriends and when I would finally get one I would always lose them and not understand why.

I like the challenge and fun of the chase...and the idea of rocking a woman's world to where she keeps coming back for more...
