Okay guys, get your girly comments out of the way....

Please file this under the heading "Attraction is NOT a Choice"

I recently saw 2 dating shows that crystallized the point that women say that they want a nice guy but always MAGICALLY get with the "Jerk".

Case #1 the Bachelorette, cute little greek girl narrowed the field to 2 totally different dudes . The 1st guy was a Prince Charming , a well off , well mannered professional that gave Miss Bachelorette the world and his Heart all wrapped in a made for TV fairy tale romance.Numerous times the Bachelorette stated How Perfect this Guy was for her.

The 2nd Dude was a Gnarly Snowboard dude that was only there to promote his line of Snowboards.

Case #2" Date My Ex" Tv Show , a Young lady again had the choice of 2 totally different individuals. Her on camera remarks clearly stated time and time again how wonderful Dude # 1 is ( pilot, family guy, and yes again GAVE her HIS Heart) and that Dude #2( a golf bum, wise ass) was fun and she could be herself around him.

Do you have a guess which guy Got The Girl in BOTH CASES ??? ..

Thats right!!!! .. The Cocky Funny Carefree guy ( also known as Jerks) wound up with the Girl .

Why do you think this could be after both young ladies clearly stated how Perfect the other gents were. hmmmm?

I will give you my own opinion shortly. ( If you haven't guessed yet :))

Look forward to your comments..

It's pretty clear that the second guy got the girl in both cases...

But, take this with a grain of salt.

Sure, it's one of the running themes of PU...ie the jerks always get the girl...but in this case it's TV. Producers know this shit, and these shows are almost always rigged. So, what better way to piss off an audience than to have the girl pick the guy that the world thinks she shouldn't?

I agree with the overall point that you're trying to make but I think these are bad examples.

It is true that TVs are exaggerated and overrated, but I think matrix has a point. Girls are attracted to assholes. That being said, even if the example is bad, we can still learn from this. I might be wrong. I donno. :o

Wasn't it the snowboarder dude who told her when she invited him to stay the night on their date.

I can't stay the night with you until I meet your dad.

How is that an asshole?

Being that this is another post about the glories of C&F i'm gonna post my take on the method but in a differnet thread so as to not hijack this one with a long rant.
