I broke my plateau. It's a good feeling. This is due in no small part to the Austin trip with you guys. One thing I'm glad I've finally internalized to some extent:
Outcome independance. I've started seeing the whole pick-up thing more as a game to have fun playing rather a means to an end. I've found myself now texting ridiculous bullshit to girls and trying to push the limit just to see how they'll react whereas in the past I'd do everything to "play it safe" while still trying to adhere to PUA philosophy to make them "feel attraction".
For example... I just told some girl some bullshit about my gf running off with a guy called "Candy", and that they told me to join them because Candy's penis was too small. I told her sister that we should have a one night stand (she's in Austin) because I am so sad and I needed immediate earthly pleasures, as long as she tapes a picture of my ex on her back. I mean, sure, this probably won't get anywhere but I was curious to see what the hell they're going to say to that!?!? I found it hilarious that they're actually responding pretty positively. A month ago I'd have never even imagined saying this kind of shit just for the hell of it. Besides, it was pretty amusing for me too.
Part of this outcome independance is due to newfound non-neediness - that now I know that I can meet as many girls as I want to, so why not have some fun and push the limit just to see how far it can go?
I've also noticed that I've begun internalizing the belief that I'm the prize. Hot girls are people too... in fact they're rather "AFC" sometimes. Also, being social seems so much more natural now, to the point that not talking to someone right next to you seems unnatural and weird. If someone thinks I'm weird because I'm talking to someone, then it's them that's CRAZY.
EPIPHANY: The game is simple. I did not realize this because I was a keyboard jockey.
I was a keyboard jockey. Sure I went out a lot, made some progress, talked to some chicks, etc. etc., but I NEVER CONSISTENTLY PUSHED MY COMFORT ZONE. Yet I still thought I was good at the game.
Hell, maybe I'm still a keyboard jockey. Maybe, maybe not; all I know is I'm happy with my progress now, whereas before I always felt like something was holding me back. Now I feel like I can have a blast with whoever I talk to, and if they're not down it's their problem not mine. What a liberating feeling.
