The last three times I've gone out I've been totally and completely HAMMERED!!!
Not to make excuses, but I always pre-drink. Not because I want to take the edge off of AA, but because I'm what people refer to as a Functional Alcoholic. I know this, and it's part of my life. I don't drink so much because I'm depressed or hurt or whatever, I drink so much because I LIKE IT. Period. End of story. I like booze.
Anyway, lately I've switched my booze of preference to vodka. The reason? No hangovers. It makes no difference how MUCH I drink the night before, if I'm drinking vodka I have NO HANGOVER. NONE. ZERO.
Before, I drank scotch or whiskey and I used to get the dirtiest fucking hangover...no more with vodka.
The point is that I JUST made the switch and I'm having a really hard time knowing when to stop with vodka. I guess the buzz is so subtle that it doesn't really hit me until it knocks me over. Does that make sense? Basically, in short, due to the nature of the buzz from vodka I've been over-drinking.
So, I'm here to apologize...
In10city:
Sorry I just disappeared on you last Friday. No idea what happened, I guess I just got it in my mind that it was time to leave.
Grimm:
I was drunk as SHIT Wednesday. I'm sure you could tell. Honestly, I don't remember the walk from the driveway at my condo to my bed...that's just sad.
Ratio, PC, Topdog:
Last night was fucking shitty. I think I was out all of 15 minutes with Ratio at Dukes. When I got to BF, the bouncer wouldn't even let me IN. That's how drunk I was...and trust me when I'm drunk it's HARD to tell because I'm usually very composed. So, I walked back to my car...thank God it was early otherwise the coppers might have gotten involved. Back at my car, I passed out for at least 2 hours. When I woke up I was still drunk, but not totally obliterated.
Normally I make my apologies in person. BUT, since I had so many that I felt I needed to apologize to I decided to just do it on the forum.
I guess I'm going through the process of calibrating to vodka...
Sorry guys!!!! Won't happen again.
