In my opinion, I think the cornerstone of all social interactions/relationships is value. We're all buying and selling each other based upon our perceived value of each other.

SO.....

Having said that.

What kinds of signs do you think women look for in order to determine value? What kind of signs that you show the world (verbal and non-verbal) might indicate to others what your value is?

I've got some ideas and I'm formulating a theory but I need some help!

In no particular order:


1. How good looking you are.

2. While some women will say they don't care...your potential to care for her. Yes monetarily speaking. What will you be able to provide for her. And I am not saying that you need to be able to buy her a mansion and a new mercedes every year. I am just saying you can provide a nice life.

3. You ability to interact and communicate with others. Your friends, her friends, at a party...whatever. Basically as long as your not some weirdo.

4. Protector

5. What her friends and family thinks of you. Now most girls will look past these opinions but I guarantee they reside in the back of her head at all times. Ecspeically if they are bad opinions.

6. I would say FUN for this one...but really it should be categorized as: NOT BORING

7. That goat has a huge hairy ball sack!

Remember when you were in school and your teacher would tell you to take 20 notes about some film. My friend used to write the craziest shit like that. It took half the year until he got caught.

8. Your friends. Yes they are an extension of you. If you hang out with douche bags...well guess what that makes you.

9. Dirt under your nails, long nasty nails, unkempt, smelly, bad style, shoes, etc, etc. Yeah they look at all this shit and will formulate a conclusion wether correct or not based on these visuals.

10. If you don't have your shit together now that is fine. But you must be on the path of getting your shit together.

11. Depening on how long I want to sit here I could come up with more. But these are good for now and I have already wasted 363 seconds of my life.

I have a theory about value...

I think there are a lot of Marlboro Men in the Community.

What's a Marlboro Man?

Basically, it's a guy with really low value that has gotten good at projecting value. He's really good at marketing at BAD product...just like Phillip Morris for all those years...thus, he's a Marlboro Man.

So, how do guys think girls can spot these Marlboro Men? How do you think girls can find and see your true value? (Keep in mind that high value guys want to display their value, low value guys want to hide their value).

I don't think there's an answer to that man, that stuff just kind of shines through on its own and while i do believe that you can dress better and exercise for looks, work on your humor and having a positive confident attitude and your internal thoughts about women - you know that i think routines and all that DHV, value displaying crap are bullshit. they might work on some stupider girls but in the end you just need to be yourself man and trust your own value. i mean just assume that your value is at least as high as hers, if you're worried about DHV's that means you think you need to prove yourself somehow.

the answer is inside. just know that the more a girl gets to know you the more she'll discover about you on her own and the more she'll like you.

but i'm kind of a renegade on that one. yes i don't believe in trying to DHV.

edit: also i'm gonna go back to confidence on this one. she'll try to figure out if YOU believe your own bullshit or not. self-doubt will probably get you blown out immediately. that's why it's important to act on your first impulses and not try to think of good answers for shit to say.

edit #2: and if you're asking specifically what the marlboro man would be doing - well i think most of it is nonverbal, he'll look like he's 'going in to his head' to find the "right" answer to shit, he'll fail shit tests, he'll say confident things but have non-confident body language, etc.

I think you are on shaky ground when you compare 'true PUAs' with 'Marlboro Men;' the two are not comparable.

First off, who are we to decide between a good person and a fake good person. What scope would you narrow it to, if only for the purpose of answering your question. In other words, value in what context?

Also having separate classes of PUA is something we have seen in the community before.

Now...to answer your latest question, "How do [you] spot the true PUAs from the Marlboro Men?" in the spirit in which you asked, ie, I think you are asking how we distinguish between false value and actual value, all other things equal...

Short answer, you must be experienced at detecting bullshit.

Long answer, you have to have a skill level equal to the two hypothetical PUAs you are comparing. Assume that MarlboroPUA has the same skill level as TruelPUA. Assume then that hypotheticalHB has the same 'skill level' at detecting bullshit and screening professional DHVs as these two men.

Then hypotheticalHB should be able to correlate a DHV to the underlying person, and be able to sniff out the bullshitter. If she can't...well, she need to spend more time in the field.

Also also, lol...I am not suggesting we must have only one class of PUA, but I am suggesting that it's a waste of time (maybe just for me, haha) to distinguish between good players and bad players, or true PUAs and tricksters, because the pick arts is a skill set. It's an art form like any other. Like video games, movies, sports, science, philosophy, fashion, culture, cooking, history, religion, etc, and like any of these here they should enrich your life, not define it.

Therefore there are no fake/true PUAs because there are only people in this community and in any other community. It does not help us to divide people up only to label them and make assumptions about their moral worth...at least not in a way I can see (statement made with the possibility of a rebuttal). And again if there is a way to make this distinction worthwhile, I ask for a context to put it in.

Maybe something like 'leave every HB better than you found her' vs 'taking value and/or leaving them worse off.' That may still be too broad.
