Dallas PUA

So I want to ask all of you what you think about learning/memorizing the routines...
I have basically tried gaming without learning any routines so far.
However, Cajun is a really good example of textbook style pua. His game is pretty solid.
What do u guys think of routines? necessary? or not necessary?

Howie's right. Try it...if you like it, memorize a few. I have two memorized for emergency "fuck I just went blank" situations. They are stupid, but when told take about 5 minutes each...and thread in to one another. Makes it seem more natural if you thread routines in to others btw. You're not putting on a play!

I say use them.

I have always wanted a routine stack.

A lot of guys really need some DHV spikes to build attraction.

You never know if your routine works until you use it. Ohh and you can't use it just once and say bah that didn't work. You need to use it many times because it needs to become congruent with you.

Umm, everyone sort of have routines.

People tell the same fucking stories over and over again, PUA or not.

The key is to figure out the way to stack them...

I've got a handful of routines that I've come up about my life and the shit I've gotten myself into. I typically don't stack them, because I'm witty enough to use stuff from my surroundings, but they're there if I need them..

I think having routines helps to learn but once you get better you can deviate and become more natural. I personally recycle stories I have come up with but mix that with improv

Yep. Routines take away the need to think of something interesting to say, allowing the guy to relax in set.

Everybody's brain relates stuff to other stuff...after you've gotten enough experiences, assuming you are tuned to viewing your experiences in that context...you start ad-libbing routines.

I met Cajun (Derick) when i was starting out and I can tell you he's one of the coolest people you'll ever meet.

He's this little dude but he carries himself like a rock star while coming across very sincere and normal. I can also tell you that in his personal life he doesn't use routines much, it's only when training students.

I have an interesting story about that guy. So I asked him, point blank. "What would you say is the number one, most important thing about pickup, if you had to only pass on one thing." His answer? Eye contact. Money.

Personally I say use routines if you have a lot of AA and you have trouble thinking of things to say etc. But don't expect a miracle. It's very difficult to get laid consistently without the ability to have an adaptable and flexible conversation that includes her specifics and the situation at hand specifically.

I'd focus more on specific frames if I were you than memorizing stories, because there's some value in pre-structuring that part. I find that if you're focusing on a specific frame a lot of other stuff just comes naturally and sets tend to go really well.

That's my personal opinion based on what i do and what I've seen. I don't have even one single story memorized that I actually use anymore but I'm not gonna bash anyone who wants to go out and memorize 30 minutes of conversation if that's gonna give them some confidence. IMO though "embedded DHV's" are nothing but a paper tiger.

I read somewhere that Cajun was intentionally going by-the-book on Keys, and that his real PU style is "hyper-sexual". Just goes to show that if you've got true game, it doesn't matter what technique you use. Just like, say, if a hot chick wears baggy clothes she'll still be hot, and no matter what a fat chick wears she'll still be fat.
