Currency: Men vs. Women

Sex is currency for men; attention is currency for women. That's why sites like Myspace and Facebook give women the advantage. They can get attention without putting out.

First I don't agree with this kind of simplification. And second, this is not constructive. You're just a small step away from whining that women have all the power in relationships because they have the power to withhold sex.

Comparing sex or attention to currency is a scarcity mentality. It implies there's only so much to go around and you have to give out attention carefully, making sure you get something of equal or greater value in return. That's a bad mindset.

I would also point out that some men actually enjoy non-sexual interaction with women (attention) and women actually enjoy sex.

In considering the differences between men and women I usually focus instead on this: men have a lot of control over how attractive they are to women. Women are pretty much stuck with what they're born with. Or what they can enhance with surgery.

Well... no one lives forever; so yeah, there's only so much of your time and attention that you can give to others. So it is limited. And where supply goes down; cost goes up. So why should you give something that costs you to someone who doesn't give you something of equal or greater value in return?

Like these guys that post "That's a bonified MILF right there" on myspace pictures of girls with bikinis at their last vacation. You know they ain't getting none of that MILF action anytime soon, and those 60 seconds of their life are forever gone (10 seconds writing it, 50 getting myspace errors).

Some of the most effective routines or banter lines I have used are the exact reverse of your currency analogy. For example, a lot of us have used this:
"Hey, hands of the merchandise. This shit ain't for free. It's five dollars a touch."

Or if a girl goes to touch your stomach, you grab her hand and say:
"Woah! Hold on. I need to get to know a girl -- you know establish some trust and comfort -- before I let her grab my package."

And then there's TD's routine about women being sexual predators. Women are the ones with an organ that is made only for sexual pleasure, and it has 100 times more nerve endings than anything a man has.

All these PU routines start with the premise that women like and want sex and they better be good if they want it from you! We really have to internalize that, because it is true after all.

Or they can put down the pint of haggen das and get their ass on a damn treadmill. Everyone on this board has taken steps to make themselves more attractive to the opposite sex women can do the same thing, but them must do so differently.

IMO, the man difference between men & women is how men are more rationally-driven in their thinking and women are more emotionally-driven. Until I discovered this, I would try to logically tell a girl why she should date me.

Oh, and one thing I like to do is try to frame it so a girl has to give me something in return for sex ...like cooking me breakfest or what not (as opposed to the other way around).

I really like that idea. It's my new policy.
