It still hurts to see them leave, but it hurts in a different way. This is going to sound emo, but it's almost like a beautiful pain. I hurt every time a girl I love leaves the room. Does that seem unmanly? Well maybe, but I think a true man owns his emotions. He doesn't accept what society tells men that emotions are evil and wrong and unmanly, but instead just learns to control them is all. One thing that helps is when I think back on how she helped me grow as a person, how she showed me new things about myself that I never would have realized on my own, and it makes me feel a little better, but yea there is some hurt. The weird part is it let's me know I'm alive. Pain as well as pleasure make me feel alive. I try to never lose my love for a woman. If she leaves then there are tons of others out there. She is welcome to leave whenever I realize that we have different paths, and sometimes they lead in different directions. If our paths cross again in the future then great I will love her just like the day I met her. I will go find others because I feel like it's like my destiny to find the unique greatness in all of them. Some come and go, but they are all welcome with me. I know I have made her a better person for having known me and she has done the same for me whether it be hard and hurtful lessons, or glorious and triumphant ones. Every girl has a piece of gold in her somewhere, you just may have to dig a little to find it. I love all women for their entertaining me, sparking my mind, and enriching my spirit. I love the way they touch me and the way they give me that one perfect look (every girl has one.)
On investing in relationships. I'm not exactly sure what to tell you. I know I do and I think it's healthy. I don't feel that there's much real substance to it without any investment. I think the thing to focus on is not not investing at all, but causing her to want to equally invest in you. A perfect relationship to me is two people giving it 100%. I have never found one like that, but I expect the girl to give all she can and I try to make it easy for her to do so. For instance a girl bought me chocolates, I rubbed her back. Because I set up this presadence the opposite should be true. Like say I take her dancing because she has always wanted to then I expect some sort of thanks back from her. Sometimes I get it sometimes I don't, but as long as it remains close to a balance then it's all good. The investment thing is difficult for me too explain maybe someone could help me explain it? Hopefully that helps you out though man.
