I certainly agree with Trib. Especially about how it is how people feel now that is really important to them and not the past. Think about it. How many people do we admire that had a criminal past, and changed. Don't we all admire people more who have acquired redemption and moved on from their past of bad behaviors and bad beliefs? It certainly makes people more appreciated and admired.
Regarding TOTAL HONESTY Trib is right that it is bullshit. Think about it. Would it make sense to be fully honest during a job interview or criticizing people in an honest way if it would hurt their feelings. Bluntness we all know is not something practical to hold to all the time. No one engages in total honesty really. Even people who are not liars.
