My personal style is very smooth, and Classy (as I was told, Thank you, you know who you are) in my personal opinion and unique, there are others that are the same concept but different clothing but IT WORKS.

Do you consider this peacocking then? Smooth and classy was pretty main stream in the past, but I suppose these days it would be considered "different."

This weekend, quite a few women either opened or brought up very early in the conversation on Gamble's shirt. It was simple, just a graphic tee from Original Penguin, and something I generally wouldn't consider peacocking. But it got results. I've always thought of it as something much more pronounced though...

Similarly, I had some comments on that felt button down I wore on Friday despite opening a minimal amount of sets. In my eyes, that was not peacocking either, however, it sparked more conversation then the shirt I wore Saturday(a striped white button down, very standard, no comments despite opening many more sets).

Personally, finding my own sense of style is a major point I am trying to work on. My natural inclination is to go with the norm and dress like all the others. I've never really had the desire or comfort to define my own style and stick out. You guys calling me on my foil shirt was a refreshing awakening. I wouldn't have thought twice about it otherwise!

I agree with you. A top hat and goggles, black nails, eyeliner, and a feather boa is peacocking. A cool belt buckle is just a cool belt buckle.

I have had women open me by asking about my belt buckle. It is peacocking. Anything you wear that could start a conversation is peacocking. It doesn't have to be extreme.

Thank you scoundrel! Everytime someone says the word peacocking, they immediately think of Mystery and his style of peacocking. Peacocking isn't making yourself look like him, it's about making yourself look like you. Find something that makes women curious enough to ask and also have it fit your personality so that when they do ask you have an answer besides "you know that guy on VH1, I wanna be like him..."

I have had women open me asking about my t-shirt I bought at Fossil. Is that peacocking? No.

If a woman is attracted, she will find something to ask you about. Wearing a conversation starter facilitates this.

There is a line between a simple conversation starter and peacocking. Where that line is may be ambiguous. My opinion is that a ring or a cool belt buckle doesn't cross that line. We may just have to agree to disagree about this.

I have a shirt that consistently gets me opened. All it is is a shirt with a big penguin on it, but all chicks love penguins so they open me. I wear that to get opened therefore it is peacocking. You don't have to go all out to peacock.

“Peacocking” is the action of dressing to stand out, or to have an item of clothing or an accessory that looks interesting, allowing the girl to comment on it if she is interested in starting a conversation with you.

Yes, if your t shirt allows women to open you it is peacocking. You don't have to wear a feather boa or a top hat or platform boots. It could be an interesting ring or even a pin with blinking lights. It could also be carrying a guitar.

Gamble you look money in your outfits closet thing to peacocking I've seen in the PUA scene. Here's what I consider peacocking.

the style is called Harajuku. It's from a small neighbor hood in Tokyo. and If you really wanna peacock look at designers like Victoria Jackson. and lots of photo's of Harajuku style.
