I like the Tao of Steve as well. I think that the movie is must see. What I like about it the most, is that there is definite warning to any guy who does what we do.

Like always remember the women that you sarge. His came back and bit him in the ass, big time!

Also, believe it or not, the first part to Office Space. I like it where he his hypnotize and developes an attitude.
It is better to try, best to succeed than sitting alone watching/reading porn.

One of the best examples of an alpha male competition is in the movie Factory Girl.

It's a real life movie about Edie Sedgwick, the girl who Andy Warhol was most fascinated by.

There's a scene in there where a big name pop-legend at the time, who is trying to date Edie, comes to meet her friends (Andy Warhol and his minions.) The pop-legend is pure competition for Warhol so there is an alpha male battle between the two. It's subtle, like most Alpha-battles should be. But it's a perfect illustration of how two competing egos battle for the smallest amount of compliance.

The winner (the pop-singer) leaves in a pissed off mood. He leaves the room hating him because they all worshiped their leader Warhol. She chases him to the parking lot, mad that he didn't get along with her friends. She ends up leaving to go back upstairs. And in the end she ends up on drugs and fucking up the rest of her life while he marries some country good girl. But he wanted her.

You might be thinking "well he didn't get the girl though." True, but he did everything perfect and she choose to be week herself. She admits later that that was the biggest mistake of her life. He remained a perfect man, true to his beliefs. She didn't deserve him.

Really good scene

Another good one is Alfie. Both the old one with Michael Cane and the re-make with Jude Law. Both are good for different reasons.
