Brad P. uses high impact openers which can be great like a direct opener IF IT WORKS. His "Horse Girl" opener and "Did we sleep together last week" opener will either get you into Comfort or blown out. His idea is the worse thing someone can do is go out and get into 20 minute conversations with girls and have it go nowhere. Give it a shot, I guarantee if you use that opener 100 times, you might have someone that has heard it once. As far as success on that opener, it has a lot of story telling components and hesitation to build tension before hitting her with the "you look just like her."

I like what Sinatra said about the show and the comuntiy as a whole. I've spent a lot of money buying product from so called gurus and about 90% of it is nothing more than foot notes to Mystery's writings.

I've never seen the show. I'm too poor to have cable so I've been missing out.

Dudes I was freaked out about the show too, but now I know for a fact that it doesn't make an ounce of difference. What I realized was how fucking hard sarging is. You have to be dedicated for a long time to get this stuff to really work, especially if you are coming from a place where you really suck with women. You have to be in there day in and day out. It doesn't matter how many people begin this journey or know about it, because only a few will be dedicated enough to be successful.

haha you guys are funny. I do direct method, but I can understand where you are coming from. The best way to react to the questions of whether you've seen the show or are using something on her is to either

A. Use push pull and treat it like a shit test if you are in attraction
Example: Yeah I have seen the show... omg you such a nerd you can't be my temporary gf anymore we are breaking up!

or to relate
B. Yeah I've seen that show it's amazing how guys with low confidence can be changed into their best selves through just a little training and hard work. The value of hard work is amazing to see first hand like that. It shows we can do anything. (I could really go anywhere with that open loop) What's something that you've worked hard for and achieved?

or heck you could always do a magic trick :p

everyone that looks at mysteries show as negative is just putting more limiting beliefs on themselves. The people who look at it as a rare chance to push the bounds of creativity and show your true colors are the ones that will be successful, not the ones sitting around complaining about how lazy they are. Stop being lazy because there was a time when I was way better at it... only problem. I didn't get shit done. Get shit done.

zine has a good point. The show (even though I haven't seen it) has little effect on my game because those guys can't tell my story about getting back stage at KISS. Because it was me that was there.

I got a good laugh out of your gym story.
Use that next time your out but, take some time to listen to the pickup podcast episode on storytelling if you really want to make it shine.

Don't hate the show, hate the lack of game

Postby Dr_W » Mon Sep 24, 2007 2:53 pm

I know a lot of people have seen the show in the Dallas area and recently a few people have mentioned it while I chat with them. The thing that I have found is that actually the show is the best opener and A1 of all. In a 3-4 set with guys and girls, once you start a conversation about the show you can go anywhere you want. Talk about people in the bar, DHV why you can easily talk to people while other don't, etc... Point out who you think is running game and then AMOG them to DHV as a leader of men. Pull in multiple sets and ask them about being picked up.... etc... Have fun with it.

Most women only remember the basic plot of the show anyway and don't catch onto the important stuff that makes the game work. Remember, women are emotional, so they really are only paying attention to and feeling for say, Joe being gone because he was such a "great" guy. They might hear the word "Neg" but they don't understand all of the possible way you can do it. And if you are being a fun guy, even if she knows you are doing it, she will still feel what you want. It is just like standing near someone or facing them. You know they are doing it for a reason, but you will still feel something if it is too close, wrong position, or etc... Knowing doesn't change the feeling.

Last couple of ideas about the show... As a marketing person in a previous career, I know that VH1 skews a little older in viewers. But really, a lot of the 30+ women in Dallas have no idea. I have seen more conversation from the 25 and under crowd because they are busy watching more TV. Just an observation. So run the game on the mature girls....

In additon, they hide so much of the actual game by cutting from scene to scene that unless you are running the same stuff as the show, most would never get it anyway. Just some thoughts...
