i like what you did here. the pictures make you so much easier to critique.
my personal opinion is that you look the best in the polo.
my friend has the same shape as you and has a lot of succcess with:
-a tshirt with designs on it (like affliction, express, etc.) under
-acollared button up shirt with the second from the bottom button only fastened (this will give you some hourglass and make your chest appear bigger) and the sleeves rolled up to his elbows. (making your arms look bigger)
-jeans
-and chucks on his feet (which i hate but some people can pull em off)
-fill out the wrist with a leather band watch

-optional ball cap (affliction makes nice ones)
-optional necklace.

just a suggestion but why not experiment right?

Sounds like you get your fashion advice from the crew of jersey shore. I am surprised you didn't suggest some ed hardy apparel.

Dude, you know what XOXO means right?!

Also, it's not the clothes. It's being a man of value that gets you a 10 on your arm.

Round 2

Postby Guest » Tue Sep 07, 2010 12:49 am

Went shopping again today And I think I may be getting the hang of it (though there's one shirt I got that's especially iffy... I hope I'm not asking too much to solicit advice on how best to accessorize these clothes as well as opinions on how they fit. Pants don't photograph well so I'm pretty much on my own with that...

First up is this long sleeve Black shirt:
1)

One thing I've noticed is that I can't wear most long sleeve shirts without rolling the sleeves because they're too tight around my arms and restrict movement. with this shirt, I thought maybe a red tie or something to contrast with it. or is that look already played out?

2)

Is this what you guys were talking about with the print further up? Think I read somewhere that V-necks help too. I think it looks good, but Iunno...

This is the one I was talking about that was really IFFY It's not uncomfortable, but it's made of this stretchy material. I like the shirt, but I fear it may be revealing too much...no good idea on what I could wear with it...

I'd nix the last one, makes you look bigger. The buttons look like they are gonna pop off because there is some stretching near them. The rest look good.

If a tie looks good with the shirt it would have to be a pencil tie. But then again I may be surprised. Unless you are talking about main street pop culture, worn properly, the tie never goes out.

I wouldn't wear a tie with that shirt. With the embellishments on the shoulders and the detail on the two breast pockets, a tie would be too much, especially a colorful one. It looks good as it is.

I don't like the last shirt either. It should be stretchy in the chest, not the belly. Stick with more shirts like the first one, which bring attention to the shoulders and chest.

Rolling up the sleeves helps to bring a top-heavy shape. It's good for you to have more going on from the rib cage up rather than from the rib cage down.

I can understand you wanting to add some color. You look best in gray and earthy colors. I don't know, wear a livestrong bracelet or something.
