[quote1236352934=El Fenix]I've seen him out on several occasions while he lived here. I'd say hi, chat for a second and give him his space. I've heard guys who are more well known have had issues with guys knowing who they were making things hard for them. I tried to give him the respect I'd expect if i were in his shoes.[/quote1236352934]
I don't think I've ever seen a Community guy walk up to a more well known 'guru' and try to play cock block. Not saying it doesn't happen, but I don't think that's the issue.
I've got a theory about PU that goes something like this:
The more you know, the more you know.
I think his material is really good, and he does a great job of translating these theories and breaking them down based on his knowledge. In other words, he's taken social interaction, a language most men don't get, and has translated it into a language that normal men can understand. For that, I give him, and the other 'gurus' props.
BUT...
Being successful at PU does not require that kind of in depth knowledge. If you make it too scientific, then it retards your capacity to have a normal conversation with women. I can't imagine what must be going through this guy's head when he's gaming. Can you? It's just too much to process at once. The fact is that when you're in set, you should stop thinking. Period. Just go with the flow. Learning how to do this cannot be taught by a 'guru' or read on a board or found in a book. It has to be learned through DOING. If you introduce too much logic into something that is NOT logical you're going to just fuck it up.
The more you know, the more you know. It doesn't mean that you're any good at this shit it just means you understand the material. Understanding something and executing on your knowledge are two totally different things. This is why I'll listen to their stuff, but not necessarily ascribe them Master PUA status.
