In no particular order...

- Grow my current companies to a more profitable position

- Complete writing a full screenplay

- Actually use my passport and travel outside of the US

- I recently bought a guitar but, have been making excuses to commit to learning. TD - can I take you up on your lessons offer?

- Regular church attendance (I actually need it!)

- Compliance on a REAL diet and exercise program

- Work on perfecting Game skills to help not only with women, but in dealing with people in general whether it be in a social setting or business related

Thanks for asking the question PC. It's powerful to mentally visualize where you want to be in a year and actually write goals down. Taking a look at my list from time to time and holding myself accountable to actual progress helps keep me in check.

I have everything I ever wanted in life and am extremely happy. There's only one thing I am missing and that's my first A feature win with my late model(dirt track racecar). That would mean the world to me and my dad.

I am a little older than most on the board so I have a feeling my goals are just a little different than most.

While shagging a bunch of random hotties and building harems is fun I would rather the following happen.

One year from today I hope to be in a relationship with a girl I just can’t get enough of. I would prefer to be living with her or something very close to that nature. I have never lived with a girl before and I envision that for us to progress to the next level living together should take place first. I would even be open to being engaged by this point.

Even if I am in a committed relationship I see my interest in the community remaining the same as it is now with one minor difference. I would much rather only be going out one night a weekend. The other night I would like having people over to my house. Really just doing anything other than a bar.

Financially speaking next year will either be my greatest or worst. Since I am in real estate I could see it going either way but it will definitely go one way or the other in an extreme manner for me.

I would like to see some of the guys I have met in the community turn into better friends.

And finally I would like to stop and smell the roses. Figure out the meaning of life maybe. Have time really be irrelevant.

Ok a year from now...
Lets begin with a year ago-ended 17 yr marriage. Began the mind meld/cure process!
A year from now...Be down to an A Game. I'm 40 so I know there's plenty to be had! Have my kiddos in a better/ healed state of mind. Get back into shape. New career??? We are all concerned now. Enrolled back into school-finish BA, go onto use Co. sponsored education benefits-Law deg. or Masters? Have an enormous group of new friends all over the place-I lost most of mine to the married life years ago. Perfect my game down to getting all I ever wanted-from the chicks to myself. It hink it's all in the way you look at it. We are all here for self betterment!
Good post!

Your last point is great. I'd have to steal that one as well and add to my list.

Ya know, you reminded me of something here and something that lurks in the back of my mind sometimes. I'm older too, and find it's hard and sometimes i find myself asking what i'm doing standing in a bar/club at 1AM at my age sometimes multiple times a week. Doesn't always feel good. I had a live in LTR(which i definitely recommend before moving to next level) and what you said...one aspect of that i miss is just doing dinners, and hanging out with friends here at the house or at someone else's with a few couples... rather than a night out at a bar. I hear ya on that. I think that's an age thing though because I hated the thought of that when i was early 20's. :)

I've had that thought a few times as well... and my perspective on it = I'm doing something that 90%+ of guys will not do... going after what I want and getting outside of my comfort zone to do it. I will never again be the guy who would prefer to stay at home and play an online game, surf the net, watch tv or what the fuck else rather than getting out there and living. If I happen to be in a bar a few nights a week, I chose to because it's what I wanted to do... and I'm doing it because unless most poor sons of bitches I chose to not accept what I was being given... so I refuse to feel bad about it at all. Ask most of your married friends which they'd rather be doing. Guarantee you most (although probably not all) would say they'd rather be in your shoes. Then again, I'm one of those people who has no need to live his live according to accepted social norms ;)

I agree on wanting to become better friends with several of the guys here.

1) Finally resolve/forgive myself for all of my past mistakes

2) Progress to the point of a serious LTR...possibly further. As much as I seem to fight it by not letting girls in beyond a certain point, I want it...bad.

3) I gotta steal the whole "not spending so much time in a damn bar" thing everyone else posted. Lately I've found myself extremely bored with this, yet unable to do anything else!

4) Make up my mind on a house...tired of flip flopping back and forth.

5) Build a bigger/stronger FRIEND base. I currently have a bazillion and one acquaintances...and a SMALL amount of real FRIENDS. I'd like that swapped around.

6) I'd like to be able to help my parents in some way. They did a lot for me the many, many, many, many times I made poor decisions...and I don't feel that I've thanked them enough for it.

7) Once again own a drum set. Sold a long time ago to pay rent, never had a chance to get one again...miss it like I'd miss a testicle (If I were uni-balled.)

8) Finally get my tattoo. I talk myself out of it every single time I approach the place to get it...

9) Jump out of an airplane (preferably a parachute would be included in this.)

10) Wake up without worry.

I want to have a more permanent job set up with much less travel, put on a little bit more muscle and maintain single-digit BFI, and get over some adolescent embarrassment mentality shit.
