yea... i've been planning to go to the meet ups but i've been busy... i'll certaintly try to make it to one as soon as possible because i want to fix this problem with women...

don't get into AMOG pissing battles... That's not alpha at all. In fact either is AMOGing someone intentionally/overtly in the first place. Real alpha is just the way you carry yourself...presence, body language, eye contact, projection, attitude, etc..., so focus on all those self improvement aspects that will help you naturally improve, and the rest of that will work it's way out.

This first thing I would do is study my friend. Clearly he is good with women. If like you said he can say the craziest shit in the world to women and they eat it up...yeah he might be decent. Or he is just really good looking and has a shit load of value.
The second thing I would do is make it out to a meeting. Quit making excuses as to you are busy or whatever. If you really want to change I would highly recommend you come out. I guarantee there will be more than one person at the meeting who can help you out at least a little.
Also pick your friends brain some more. I do think he is a good friend. Because it is my experience that only good friends will call you out on stuff like this. He might amog you or put you down or whatever but right now he is trying to help you. Unless you are some pedophile freak you can change this creepiness factor.

On topic of making it out to a meeting:
I don't know if this might be a factor playing into your inability to make it out to one of the meetings, but I'll say it anyway.
When I went out to a meet-up the first time, I was nervous as hell. I got to the meetup place and thought 'Man this is kinda weird. I dont know anyone thats going to be here...maybe I should just go home'. This is also known as AA....which is something you're gunna have to deal with anyway if you want to learn pick-up right?
I got there, introduced myself to the guys (you'll prob be able to pick em out from the crowd :) ), sat down and it turns out everyone was pretty cool.
I'd been trying stuff on my own for a month or so before that, but the meet-up really put some (good) pressure on me to try things out and TRY to be successful. Not to mention, you get some feedback from people with experience.
I really can't stress how much I think the meet-up helped me to jumpstart my learning....and I think you might get alot of good (legitimate) feedback out of it with regard to your problem.

cj come out to the 3rd thursday meeting at taco cabana in addison... i know you only live a couple miles away so no excuse :) these guys can tell you if you really are being creepy and give you suggestions on ways to improve so if that's what ya want you just gotta come out.

When you get to the point where you can be playful and girls are happy to chat, then you need to start pulling the energy back a little and being more selective and asking more open ended questions.
