ok, so i was a Natural and alpha male and had no problems with women. I fell in love, which ultimately lead to my downfall. I went into severe depression and stopped talking to people for a long time and lost my social skills, quick wit, confidence and social intelligence. At this point ,i'm unsatisfied with myself because something such as women who were once something easy for me, are now hard as hell(talking about 8's and 9's). Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

I know Gunslinger very well and consider him to be a truly wonderful and great friend. Without speaking for you Gunslinger, which you know I would never do because of our mutual respect, I will say that I'm pretty certain that Maenad's willingness to take the initiative and bury the hatchet means that Maenad has learned a lot since he first broached the PU scene.

Maenad, what you said above I greet with a lot of respect. Good for you. I know I'm probably not a big deal in your life or important to you in any way, but I want you to know that I'm proud of you. The Maenad from 6 months ago would never have said what you did. The 'old' Maenad would have percieved it at an attack, today you see it as an opportunity to make ammends and find some common ground. That means that you've progressed so much on your journey. Good for you my friend. Good for you.

I understand your frustration, truly I do. But, keep this in mind. The guys that actually get good at PU are the guys that never stop. They never waiver. They never capitulate. They never stop climbing the mountain of self-improvement. Life will always be frustrating. You can always do better. But, make sure that you take a little time to look back on where you came from and what you have now. The key to happiness to is to be grateful for what you have...the key to growth is to know that what you have can be better.

You have the latter down pat, but the former is lost on you right now. Pick-up is a process my friend. It takes time. The man you where is not the man you are now. That doesn't mean that you're flawed or brokend in any way. Instead, look at is as opportunity. You have the chance to mold yourself into someone else, someone better. You're a clean slate. Forget the past and start to mold youreself into the man you want to be, the man that you deserve to be. You'll never be what you were, but you can be better than you've ever been.

I can tell you're on the right path. Don't give up, don't get frustrated. The point of PU isn't to bed women. That part is easy. The point of PU is to forge yourself into the man that you truly are, the man that resides within, the man that you've alwys been meant to be. Be patient, you're making way more progress than even you know.

I can tell the more motivated I become, the less angry/depressed I am. Also as of lately my wit, has been slowly coming back. So I am a lot more pleased with myself. But seriously, if anyone you guys are having problems with depression or anxiety you should read the book. It helps you get to the root of your problems.

Focus your attention on something else for a while. Do you have any other hobbies and interests besides girls? Immerse yourself in that for a while. Find new hobbies and interests. Learn how to have fun again and be happy. Once you do that, then worry about the women. Don't let a positive mental state EVER depend upon women.
