About women. You thought I was going to start preaching about pick up and sin but NO! This is about how the bible says women should be.

Proverbs 31 10 - 31:

10An excellent wife, who can find?
For her worth is far above jewels. rare, precious
11The heart of her husband trusts in her,
And he will have no lack of gain. trustworthy
12She does him good and not evil
All the days of her life. kind

13She looks for wool and flax
And works with her hands in delight. works joyfully
14She is like merchant ships;
She brings her food from afar. goes extra mile to get choicest goods
15She rises also while it is still night
And gives food to her household
And portions to her maidens. disciplined
16She considers a field and buys it;
From her earnings she plants a vineyard. enterprising, prudent with money
17She girds herself with strength
And makes her arms strong. energetic
18She senses that her gain is good;
Her lamp does not go out at night. good steward
19She stretches out her hands to the distaff,
And her hands grasp the spindle. diligent

20She extends her hand to the poor,
And she stretches out her hands to the needy. compassionate, generous

21She is not afraid of the snow for her household,
For all her household are clothed with scarlet. provident
22She makes coverings for herself;
Her clothing is fine linen and purple. elegant
23Her husband is known in the gates,
When he sits among the elders of the land. influential
24She makes linen garments and sells them,
And supplies belts to the tradesmen. industrious

25Strength and dignity are her clothing,
And she smiles at the future. poised
26She opens her mouth in wisdom,
And the teaching of kindness is on her tongue. wise

27She looks well to the ways of her household,
And does not eat the bread of idleness. manages her home
28Her children rise up and bless her;
Her husband also, and he praises her, saying: praiseworthy
29"Many daughters have done nobly,
But you excel them all." distinguished

30Charm is deceitful and beauty is vain,
But a woman who fears the LORD, she shall be praised. God-fearing
31Give her the product of her hands,
And let her works praise her in the gates. honored

What's the point of this post? The bible is b.s. There are so many contradictions and absurdities in there. The section below says we should stone girls that are not virgins.

Deut. 22:13-21
"If any man takes a wife and goes in to her and then turns against her, 14 and charges her with shameful deeds and publicly defames her, and says, ‘I took this woman, but when I came near her, I did not find her a virgin,’ 15 then the girl’s father and her mother shall take and bring out the evidence of the girl’s virginity to the elders of the city at the gate. 16 "And the girl’s father shall say to the elders, ‘I gave my daughter to this man for a wife, but he turned against her; 17 and behold, he has charged her with shameful deeds, saying, "I did not find your daughter a virgin." But this is the evidence of my daughter’s virginity.’ And they shall spread the garment before the elders of the city. 18 "So the elders of that city shall take the man and chastise him, 19 and they shall fine him a hundred shekels of silver and give it to the girl’s father, because he publicly defamed a virgin of Israel. And she shall remain his wife; he cannot divorce her all his days. 20 "But if this charge is true, that the girl was not found a virgin, 21 then they shall bring out the girl to the doorway of her father’s house, and the men of her city shall stone her to death because she has committed an act of folly in Israel, by playing the harlot in her father’s house; thus you shall purge the evil from among you".

Only if you ascribe to the teachings of the Bible. I, for one, would contend that many of what is in the Bible is not appropriate, or wanted, by men, and me personally.

So, in all fairness, I think it's appropriate for you guys to qualify your statement...

It's apropos as a guide for a Christain man seeking a woman worth keeping.

I disagree.

I can, and will go through that passage, if necessary, and list the qualities it lists in a good woman. Far too many people have a knee jerk reaction to anything labeled religious, or The bible, without really looking into what it says.

Just two of the qualities listed are: hardworking, and trustworty....

I dare anyone on here to say a woman they can trust isint a priority for a woman worth keeping.

So you agree that it is apropos to pick up, just not your style. So you are disregarding others faith and belief systems and saying yours is the only right way. Are you going to put on a red cross tee shirt and kill the heatherns now too?

Raise your hand if you are tired of being bullied by the "There is no god" crowd! Oh, wait, the easiest way to deal with it is to avoid confrontation... keep your hands down you over 50% of the population that professes to be christian.

Any brothers in Islam want to chime in? I know the Quran has something to say about dating. Any Hindus or Buddists? I mean I can't believe this board is completly religion free.

I mean, damn guys, this site is about skills not faith or belief. Remember the whole "It's what you do with it" thing?

What does that bible quote have to do with pickup. How will reading that verse help anyone out on anything with pickup? It won't. It has nothing to do with pickup. My guess is you posted it to try and spread the word of god (or shall I say push your beliefs on others).

Dude, wtf? No one is bullying anyone or telling anyone what to believe. Where do you get this at?

Who cares what it says? If someone follows Islam and the "dating advice" in there, then let em. Again, that has nothing to do with pu.

Exactly, so why did you bring your faith into it?
