Gaming the birthday girl

I'll start with a little background story:
Somewhere around June of last year I went to this really kick ass party afterwards got a friend invite on myspace by some chick I had no recolection of. I have no idea how I didn't remember her cause she was really hot but at the party I was playing my guitar and singing so i didn't really get to interact with anyone who wasn't dancing; and it was a really big house; and I was drunk. Anyways we made plans to hang out again sometime but it ended up never happening and things just died out.

Fast Forwarding to 2007:
I decided to clean up my friends list of people I don't talk to and dropped a comment to see if I got anything back. Something along the lines "Haven't seen you in a long time, ever since that party.....We need to all get together for a repeat."
She answered by asking for my number. I gave it to her and she called me the other day saying her birthday was coming up and for me to come.
This is gonna be a little interesting considering she's probably gonna be overwhelmed with attention from all her guests and I don't even remember her at all (I only know what she looks like because of the myspace pictures). Which brings me to my question:

How do I game the birthday girl??

I'm thinking I should lock in on some other other HB and play jealousy plot-line or something but that's all I can come up with.
It's gonna be at BlackFinn so if things don't look good at the party i'll be able to get out there and practice. Haven't been there yet but heard it's a cool place.

BlackFinn? where is that place? never heard about it... Anyhow, do not give her attention at the frequency the she'll be getting from others. Be the set! Talk to her friends.. impress them. That will get her attention. Every HB10 has some fat friends cause they like to be the center of attention! If you don't give her the attention she'll wonder why. She wants you..she gave you her number right?

What ended up happening was that I went out earlier on that night for some night game with the guys from here. Got into a really good rhythm and number closed some chick. don't know how legit her number is gonna be though. I didn't get the chance to isolate cause her friend from out of town was there but she was really into me. (this one gets it's own FR later)

I showed up to the party late (12:30) and by that time I was in such a good rhythm that I didn't feel pressured to close anyone or nervous or anything. I think this was the key here. I won over the group (the guys there were not much talkative) without much effort.
We went to a small after party after the bar closed. They put some music on and I was the only guy who could dance. So it was me and two HB's dancing while the guys they were hooking up with stood there looking at us. There were only 3 girls there so not much else I could do.

What should I do to pull these girls (at least their number, maybe kiss) when their date won't let me out of their sight because they're jealous?

I could tell their dates weren't their boyfriends or anything but they were "together". To an extent I feel like I was just being their dancing monkey (literally in this case) but I didn't really care cause I like to dance and was having a good time. The girls threw me some IOI's and everything so maybe I shouldn't have started drinking when I got to the after party. That way I would have had tighter game and close them right there in front of the dudes.
btw the birthday girl was one of the HB's dancing with me. And I made sure I gave the other chick more attention
