I think it would be enough to just say:
Her: What's up sugar?
You: Sugar? Wow, ok nice... high-five (look overly animated and excited)
Every time she uses that word, simply pay TOO much attention to it. The unwanted attention to certain words will subconsiously make her stop saying them, its a sort of psychological conditioning where you create a negative feedback loop. Not only is it alpha, it gets the point completely across without much effort.
