Is it a DHV to say that other guys are lame?

If you make fun of them in a CF way then yes.

If the guy is violating social norms..... then it could be, if done with tact.

Otherwise no.

Thanks, Finesse. It was a rhetorical question. What I was thinking was:
It's not a DHV to call another guy lame.

I knew someone would see what I was saying and run with it.

Canned material in general is just a format to convey personality. New material makes sarging more fun. You just have to realize the intent behind the canned material. The most important part is being natural and using congruent body language, what you actually say is far less important. hell, You can open a set by saying, "What's with sushi bars in Dallas, aren't yall texans supposed be about the steak and grits?" as long as you have a playful tone and good body language.

New opener idea!

PUA: Have you guys seen that pick up guy on VH1?

HB: I love that show!

PUA: Do you think any of that stuff would work on a girls like you?

Never say another guy is lame. It's a DLV to both of you. Instead, damn him with faint praise.

TheRussian and I had a night where three different sets mentioned the show or pickup artists in general. One set mentioned Mystery specifically. So I had an opportunity to field test this.
HB: These guys are like that Mystery show. You know, with the pickup artists.
Rhody: Yes. We're master pickup artists. You are powerless to resist our advances. See, you tilted your head and laughed. You are so attracted to me.
One of the girls was Filipina, so I busted out some phrases in Tagalog. They invited me downstairs with them. It wasn't a problem.

In another set a girl said, "these guys must be pickup artists." We ignored it. We were in set for 30 minutes or more.

The girls might get a kick out of busting on pickup artists. All you have to do is get past the hook point so you can convey some personality. If you become a real person to them, they'll forget all about the pickup artist stuff.
