Learning PUA is no different than a woman wearing makeup.

A few weeks ago I bought the MM book, and the Game. Finished reading both, and the ideas rocked my world.

First, I was really bummed that I hadn't found this stuff earlier; Like 4 years ago (I know the books were not out there then, but the information and technology was.)

It's like I missed out on the gold rush, and now I'm just one more AFC that's way behind the curve, learning the game.

Selfishly I wish that no other guy could get this knowledge, yet greedily I'm absorbing it and using it already. And I've been blown away by the results...

In all my reading in the last few days I've run across the many negative slanted articles and comments by women.

And I got to thinking about evolutionary attraction mind switches...

Women are trained from day ONE to exploit these in men: All those beauty products (and cosmetic surgeries) are designed to make women look better than they really are, so that men are fooled into being attracted to them over the very few natural genetically beautiful girls that don't actually need makeup or augmentation.

Guys now worry that they may be using an opener that some other guy is using- But should a woman worry when she buys that sexy thong or dress, that she didn't design it, and that there are probably at least 10,000 other women wearing that EXACT one?

Nicely applied makeup and breast implants can make it much harder for the genetically natural beauties to compete. For the naturals, this must suck... For the genetically uglies with money and access to surgeons and beautitions it's great.

On the plus side, with the advent of makup and cosmetic surgery there are many more women on the market that (us) guys find attractive- And now with MM, the Game, and PUA-- men also appear more attractive to the women. I'd like to believe that this will lead to a lot more fun sex for everyone involved- BUT just as it's better that that girl leaves before you see her in the morning with smeared makeup- For the Guys who managed to come across as a Man of Higher Social Value- He better leave before she finds out he's really just a AFC with a good 24 hour game...

I think for a large part this explains why Neil Strauss points out in his book: while the PUA my be getting laid, very few of them actually can attract a woman to be a girlfriend, or can maintain a long term meaningful emotional relationship.

Good to have you here. I don't know how old you are, but I don't think you should regret not having this stuff 4 years ago. I honestly believe that most people find this stuff at exactly the right time. I think it is hidden in the perfect way. You have to consciously say to yourself "wow I suck with chicks," and look on the internet to find answers. When you are at that point you are ready to absorb this stuff. That's why introducing this stuff to other guys, even if they suck with chicks, can lead to bad situations. They have to be ready.

I am a newbie myself. I have known about this stuff for a couple years now, but I could never really use it because of my situation (super strict parents). Believe me when I say you will get nowhere at all by just reading. I did this, and it is bad. You have way too many ideas in your head when you're just trying to talk to girls.

This stuff is a blessing but it can tortue you as well. Because you now know that you can change, if you don't, it will sting every time you see a hot girl. You may think that innocent AFC ideas are bad, but it is far worse to know what's possible, and still suck. Do not be like this.

I agree with everything you are saying, but forget the theories and the analysis and get out there and sarge.

interestingly enough, i found out about all this quite by chance. i was watchin a youtube video, a comedy skit about dungeons and dragons, and someone happened to mention Mystery. intrigued, i looked him up and was fascinated. i must say though, everything he teaches, i kind of already knew. i just needed it presented to me in a clear and concise way, with evidence of other guys that have turned themselves around, thus inspiring me to do the same. i think eventually i could've made it on my own, the same way mystery had to im sure, but thats a longer and harder road.
