Yea, thats about right. I took in most of TD's post, and he talks about playing up anything the boyfriend does as insecurity. You damn him with praise, but also explain why he acts like he does.
Granted, any girl I've ever talked to who had a boyfriend at the time that was interested in me never failed to mention that it wasn't a perfect relationship, so it seems there's always an open opportunity to do so.
