Calibration is what needs to be learned. If she THINKS she’s a 10 you have to treat her like one and NEG her.

Now I only use them on girls who display bitch shield verbally or physically - if say, a two set is trying to shut me out with body language or giving really curt responses, as if they are trying to subcommunicate, "don't talk to us"

Starting "after" they've displayed the behavior may put me at a slight disadvantage but now I rarely neg targets who don't need it.

And very true, I have met many girls in field that I consider 7.5 at best who try to give an attitude like they are 9s or 10s. Ugly girls (or girls who used to be hotties) develop social calibration by going into the field frequently just like PUAs do.

only use negs sparingly and only on the hottest girls who have very high self of esteem...the girls that turn heads and get attention all the time...but don't insult them make sure that they are feeling content with themselves before you use a neg....

i'm going to have to disagree with all those that say you should not use negs except in rare circumstances.

you should almost aways use some type false disqualifier or neg. and i stand by this.

i think you need harsh negs on the high esteem shit-test girls, but you still need some type of disqualifier on the others. this helps build comfort. where she can let her guard down and not be nervous. this helps LATER in the game too.

i see lots of comments from guys that number close, but then wonder why the women don't call them back. this is because you built attraction, but not comfort. you did not show her that she WON you over.

when you neg, you create a sign of disinterest and you're not trying to impress her. when you show interest later, your neg showed her she won you over with her charisma, and not just her looks. and she feels more comfotable. this means when you call her later, she realizes you are not just a shallow guy like all the others that just tried to impress her. you had her relaxed around you, and you created a frame were you held control. this is powerful stuff.

good negs to use are like, "i can picture you being the little sister i never had", or "we could so be good friends", or "you are tooooooo nice."

they are not insulting in the slightest, but create a frame that you see her as a friend only.

(NOTE: WF should totally be working, but he doesn't want to today) I totally agree with you. I always neg. I neg in a teasy flirty way, like I would tease a little sister. In my experince the best negs are ones that make her slightly embarassed. I had a really great set with a super hot girl at a christian university. She was barefoot and after some light negging, I had her so mezmerized she lost track of time and was late to a play practice.

I agree here as well. I often create attraction--often to the point that I #-close or K-close a girl that has a boyfriend, but fail to build any comfort and the girl flakes. I certainly need to improve my comfort & rapport game.

A good friend described it to me this way, a girl wants to feel as though she would have no chance with you except for some special reason (preferablly something she likes in herself that she always wish guys would like her for) that you happen to see. I think sales people use this same crap, they try to make you feel that you're getting a special offer that you wouldn't otherwise get. This is why I always compliment a girl on whatever is unique about her after I neg her.

Right on. You always need barriers for them to have to break down. "You're too young for me" or whatever. "You're really cute, it's too bad you're not my type." Then the whole frame is whether she is good enough for you, which is very powerful. If you skip it and just try and chit-chat then there will be no fire, no attraction.

As for whether you need to make her feel self-conscious, with "those shoes look really comfortable" or somesuch, that would depend on the situation. Negs and false disqualifiers are not really the same thing, though they both operate from the same frame.
