Email advice needed now

Postby Westfall » Tue Jun 26, 2007 10:54 am

@closed a cute waitress. Need advice soon. I'm planning on emailing here...here is my rough draft. Suggestions?

You appear to have a unique & independent aura about you. But beneath the surface are you as interesting and fun as you seem to be? (ADD??: It's too bad it would never work out between us)

Oh, and what do you think of this article: http://heartless-bitches.com/rants/nice ... guys.shtml

Z

p.s. Remember to make sure your response is clever so that it stands out amongst the dozens of other semi-cute green-eyed Irish waitresses who enjoy spending their time filling up Coke bottles with peanuts I've emailed this week. (and you thought you were the only one...)

She is moving to Austin in 1 month. Adivce???

Interesting article you're sending her. Would be a good conversation starter for sure.

I think the email sounds fine. You're asking her to qualify, so I'm assuming you didn't do that in person?

BTW, I would leave off the "It's too bad it would never work out between us". Just stick with getting her to qualify at this point.

I continually qualify women. Is that bad? I'm sending them email above without the workout between us line.

Thanks.

It's good to continue to qualify. Also try to use more qualifiers that are not yes/no questions because it gives you more room to appreciate their answer. Your question as it stands is almost equivalent to a statement: "I hope beneath the surface you are as interesting and fun as you seem to be." It's good for keeping the screening frame but it doesn't really help you elicit good qualities you can then appreciate.

One of my qualifying techniques is to recognize a quality in a girl, and then comment on how I'm tired of [opposite-quality] in girls. For example, if a girl is a basketball player/athletic type, I tell them how I'm bored with cheerleader types. And then I start telling them how my last girlfriend had [opposite-quality] but it was a huge turn off.

I think that has potential, but I need to refine it.
