I like Bull Run's thread and Traxus' idea. Here is my OKcupid profile that I have had a lot of success with. It's a little afc at parts and braggy at others, but maybe something about my personality makes it work for me. Feel free to tear it apart and tell me what I did well and what I could do better.

I'm kinda like the the guy fom the Dosxx' commercials, but younger. I am an aspiring jet setting traveling gentleman of leisure by day (aka the most interesting man in the world), vigilante superhero by night(seriously my only goals in life are to be rich, keep it classy and look tough wearing underwear over my pants). The lovechild of Chuck Norris, Brock Samson and Ron Burgundy. Most important thing to know about me; I know how to have a good time and i like everyone around me to feel included.

I guess this is the part where I try to sell myself to you, huh. The simple truth is that when people have to ask each other what they "do for a living" this early in the conversation it's because they probably weren't that interested in it, or becuase they are shallow and are hoping that you are rich. Well... I'm a psycic advisor. I have my own hotline and everything. If you want to know what your future holds just ask me to read your palm the first time we meet.

I have way too many things going for me right now and I have never been short on ambition. I love to write, maybe that will take me somewhere.


The first things people usually notice about me
My Charisma and charm. Most people wonder why everyone else in the room seems to know me. My smile and laugh are both pretty contagious. Hope you're into having fun.

I have a pretty unique sense of style and am "put together" abnormally well for a guy from what I hear.

Physically it would be the most sheepish mischevious smile of all time. I am tall and dark and usually mistaken for being persian or middle eastern. You tell me. It doesn't define me but I think it's important to list the fact that I work out regularly and live a very active lifestyle. I am also attracted to fit, active women. It's just one of those things that makes sense to me.

Trust me there is a healthy balance. You don't have to intently look for your soulmate with every person you date. The first paragraph is humorous and I understand what you are trying to convey but its so over the top that it comes across as so much bs that it fails to do what it was designed to do. Less is more sometimes! Shorten it up and don't go so all out in this paragraph and I think it would be a very effective opener.

"Psycic" is spelled Psychic.

Ram, I agree with UncleHOwie. The first paragraph is rather ridiculous, albeit funny. It took me a while to figure out what "Dosxx" was. There's so much going on that it's hard to tell what to take away from it. I almost missed the following sentence:

The above sentence is great (although I would replace the semicolon with a colon). I'd hate to see it get lost in there.

The rest suits your personality, energetic and charismatic. Plus, if you say that you are having success, then why change it? I like your profile. It's fun.

Ok I made corrections to the spelling and punctuation. I am thinking about removing the parts about being the love child of my fictional heroes and the most important thing to know about me sentence. Maybe I shouldn't flex my humor and let you know an important aspect to my character in the same breath. I'll put my amended intro paragraph on here when i figure out what I want it to sound like
