This happened to me last Sunday

I have been telling this story for the last couple of days and it seems to be a pretty good DHV story as it turns out. Give me your opinion.

I was at McDonalds with my 6 year old son. He was playing in the out door playland. We were the only 2 there except for, as I noticed, a female dove sitting on the netting. I thought it was curious that she was just sitting there when my son found out why. Doves mate for life and her partner had flown into the playland and was stuck in there. I told him to leave the bird alone so he wouldn't hurt it accidentally. I knew I couldn't just leave him trapped. He wouldn't have lasted a day.

I climbed up into the playland, wormed my way around the maze and into the small room where the dove was trapped. I tried a few times to pick up the bird and eventually was able to gently get a hold of it. I then, with one hand holding the bird worked my way out of the playland. Those things were not built for a 6 foot 2 inch man. I sprained my ankle on the way out but I got the dove out safely. As soon as I was out I opened my hand and it sat there for just a second before it flew off, with his mate following along. As I watched the pair fly away I felt that I had just made the world a just a little bit better place.

It's good. Makes you seem like a very genuine guy that protects others and isn't afraid to go out of his way to do so. Also the part about doves mating for life will probably make her have romantic feelings about you. If you looking for a girlfriend this story is good, but if you looking for a one night girl I wouldn't tell it. I also would change the ending to more of a question so you can have more of a conversation about it. I.E. As I watched the pair fly away I wondered what it is that makes the doves feel so bonded to each other. (To girl) Have you ever felt that way about anyone?
You are likely to hear about lots of her past relationships, so don't be her counselor just listen and let her pour out her heart to you.
