[blockquote] A true individual questions society and asks why are things this way and is this the right thing to do/way to think?

You see, society holds us accountable all day, everyday. When are we going to begin to do the same?

That's the point.

Society is not the enemy, except when it tries to tell me that I have to do things that are clearly stupid and not healthy for me. If I have to do things that are not in my best interest, then I will question why? Then, I'll determine if everyone else is right. If they are, then I comply. That will just be the cost of living in our society. If they are not right, then I will stand up and fight for my individuality. [/blockquote]

Yea now that I'm more clear on what you saying I totally agree. It's kind of like how being fat although it's one of the worse things for you health as countless studies and research says is becoming more and more socially acceptable. The new social norm is Hey, it's ok to be fat we accept you. It's ok don't worry about it. I think we should feel just as free to challenge a fat person for their eating habits as a friend with a bad hairdo. Yet, tell a fat person they need to slow down a bit and people will look at you like you the biggest asshole on earth. Society doesn't always seem to know what's best for it. The "tyranny of the majority" is becoming greater and greater by the day. I still have hope though. It's challenging to keep that hope, but I really try.
