Bull Run...I think I understand where you are coming from with regards to your clothes. That night at Sherlocks, I was talking to that fat ugly chick and she knew you were a player. I asked her about it and she said she could tell by the clothes you were wearing. Then she said she thought you were hot and it was because you dressed like that...it sub-communicates that you don't give a fuck about what anyone else thinks. She thought you were hot.

Oh great, the fat, ugly chick thought I was hot...never heard that before.
You really can take this from two different angles.
On one hand, one could say that peacocking or dressing more uniquely limits your potential field of targets. If they see you dressed a certain way, then they're going to automatically assume that you're a player. With being designated a player comes a certain level of prestidge and a certain level of disdain. So, in this case, I would have to do some level of work to put her at peace with the idea that I'm not a player, just unique.
On the other hand, one could say that this is a great way of filtering out those girls that would be intimidated by your style. If she's not strong enough to interact and deal with you in a positive way, then she's not worth your time. When women do that to us, we call them Shit Tests. When we do that to women, I call them Smell Tests.
One of the above is right, one is wrong it just depends on your perspective. And, back to your point. Find a perspective and stick to that perspective. Right or wrong, it's what you believe.
