He mentions the positives briefly, but devotes so much more space to the negative, when in fact I think the positive has a much greater impact than the negative. I hardly know anyone who fits his caricatures.

I think the post has some valid points, but I think he goes a little too far with some of the assumptions he is making. I do agree that the community can make some weird dudes weirder, but what those guys actually need is a therapist not a forum or ebook. As far as the dallas puas that I've met go (which is probably about 40) though only about 1 in 10 is the guy that the post describes. Most of the guys I've met are just average dudes who want to get better with women not some super manipulative crazy person the post describes. I have also met a shitload of amazing people. People that I would not have met without the network that this community provides, so to the poster of this I say calm down, take your valium and watch the notebook.

I think some of it is very valid. Fortunately, most of those in our community who display these characteristics either change it quick to fit more of the social norm amongst us or they fade out.

I got a kick out of the Jargon complaint. One of the first things I picked up when I got into this world is that the jargon is code. It's not meant to be understood by those around you. I like that you can walk up to a guy in set and help out by saying things like, "DHV, Neg, then stack forward" and no one else knows what the hell you are saying. Not that I do that, but the capability is there.
