Thoughts on cold reading/Palm Reading

Perhaps you all consider palm reading 'gay' because you're doing it wrong, or at least at the wrong point in the interaction. I wouldn't say I use it A LOT...but I do use it often, and it goes over well.

You are right in saying there's a big diff in cold-reading vs. palm reading. Cold reads can be done VERY early in the interaction...don't require a ton of comfort or even any kino to begin with. My 'gimmick' for lack of a better term with the cold reads is that I make it known that I'm very good at reading people, almost like a 6th sense. I'll demonstrate this by doing so to a few people around the venue. Easy reads like chick with body turned towards the guy she's talking to, legs crossed in his direction, playing with hair...or dude walking around the bar with his head going left to right super fast...sharking the place out. She'll ask for a read on what SHE'S doing/thinking/feeling, and I simply push it off until sexual tension is high enough to use the read as a transition to a more sexual frame.

Palm reads I do in a "I'm being OBVIOUSLY cheesey" type mindset...I'm being funny, easy going, and out right entertaining. Plus, I'm holding you close, and caressing your hand...like a sweet little boy would. I do the same kind of reads in this part, but normally just regurgitate shit that I picked up on in earlier interactions with her. My thang is to do this during a movie night, or a 'come-over-and-lets-watch-college-football-naked-in-my-bed' night.

I've done both, I always do cold reading. I use that as a way to get them to open up, I usually cold read them wrong the first time to get them to correct me, and then you're in conversation.

Palm reading is like strawberry fields. Ultimately, i think, it doesn't matter what happens as long as you fuck with her... i.e. PC's line... money. And that is stolen.

You can tailor these gimmicks to your liking to project the frame you actually want.

I dont know, i dont think palm reading is that bad. Its a great kino trick. I dont know shit about palm reading except the little shit an ex taught me. when i start off I'll usually act very serious then i will say that one line means she is retarded or make up wierd stuff up like "lets see, wow! so your the clingy type?" or "uh-oh this says your a trouble maker, we shouldnt be hanging out." then i smile =)

I try to only do this when i have isolated my target or if she was alone to begin with. If i do this around her friends, i feel like im another dude trying to get inside her pants and the group wont be on my side.

i use cold reads, i know sal uses cold reads, pretty much all the OK boys use cold reads. As far as palms i think im the only one that does it, although its very rare

I kinda like to play "Cold Reading Games." Like Strawberry fields or Cube. But not at a club or bar. I save that for day 2's. That shit is just too long. One game i play sometimes I call the Millionaire Cold Read.

I would ask them, if they were to win 3 Million dollar lottery. What are the First 3 things you would do with your winnings??

I can usually come up with bs stuff on the fly. I find that women usually hook quicker if you do some form of cold read. Makes them feel like you have an instant connection with them

It can get pretty interesting. I usually open Asian sets, which i always guess Bio, then Financing for majors. Guess right and its even more powerful. If not, neg them and its still fun.
