Where do I start?

What should I do to get started? I read about half of The Game, but got bored with it talking about Mystery's depression. I am too busy with school to be reading about that, I need something short and to the point. I also dont want to use the club as my primary means of picking up women, I would much rather approach women at grocery stores, coffee shops, restaraunts, AT SCHOOL etc. Any advice for me fellas?

You need to read a bit from all the main gurus to figure out which methodology fits you best. If 'The Game' type method sounds good to you, then read Mystery Method/Venusian Arts type stuff. The people I know who focus primarily on day game like stuff from Juggler and RSD. Everyone is different, though.

The best advice I can give you, though, is to meet the community. You will learn more from interacting with like minded individuals than you will from reading bloated manuals of like minded individuals.

I agree. I would just start approaching as soon as possible. People often get caught up in reading too much material without trying it. Read 1 book (I am partial to Magic Bullets) and then start approaching this week. Set small goals first such as opening a certain number of sets a week. Then amp it up and make sure you at least transition, and so on.

If you don't have a lot of time to read, or want to quickly get to the point where you can do some approaches in the field, I recommend reading How to be a Pickup Artis by Juggler. For Daygame at class, I would use something direct like "I saw you there and I just had to come over and see if there was more to you than meets they eye. So who are you?"
And then start qualification stuff. Read Sal's Post on Qualification, which is great btw.

You can also probably come up with some great openers on your own.

There are tons and tons of openers. Its not hard to find them and they fall into "themes". Opinion openers do work as do direct openers. There are many many ways to open.

Its up to you to find the ones that work for you. Don't rely on the guys.

"Hey, how ya doin'?" .........then make a comment or observation about anything and start a normal conversation.

Now I realize this isn't some magical line that's going to make her panties drop in 5 minutes but I would try to get comfortable just starting conversations with women you don't know. Make having a conversation your goal, not getting laid or getting a number. Just my opinion.

I dont know how to rank it. I will say when I have a few drinks I relax alot more and dont give a #*$& about other people or making a little bit of a fool out of myself like I did tonight. I have SOME game. I approached my wife during the day. I just want to get over the anxiety and not appear the same as every other swinging dick out there
