State of Women in America

I just finished watching the first episode of the new season of Survivor. Yes, yes I know. Who still watches Survivor? Well, I do...so there. But, this season is especially interesting to me because the entire gimmick, ehh premise, is men vs. women. One tribe is comprised of women, the other comprised of men. Watching the series will teach you as much about men, women, and male homo's as you can learn in a lifetime.

Just from the first episode alone, the following themes presented themselves:

-Men form strong bonds in an attempt to accomplish a shared goal. Petty differences are put aside so that the goal at hand can be achieved.
-Women fight amongst themselves and put themselves on islands worrying about personal differences and petty grievances and have no idea what the ultimate, shared goal is because it doesn't matter to them. More selfish, less selfless.
-Women cannot create hierachies and structure in a group to achieve a shared goal.
-Women cannot plan and think strategically, instead focusing on short-term, immediate gratification.
-Women play in the world of double standards.
-Men are loyal, as long as you contribute to the group and help it achieve it's goal.
-Women stab each other in the back and don't LISTEN to each other.
-Gay men are the most vile, self-centered people in existance. They have completely turned their back on the ideology of being a man and have embraced the overly entitled, hypergamous, status jockeying attitudes of women thus making them the worst of both worlds. This coming from a guy that is anything but a homophobe.

Watch the first episode, I'm sure it's on CBS or something, get caught up, then watch the remaining season unfold. I promise you'll understand women better than ever. And, you get to see the overly entitled chubby ones get down to a weight that accurately represents her confidence level. That alone is worth the investment...
The difference is indifference.

- Women cannot create hierachies and structure in a group to achieve a shared goal.

Coming from a Psychology perspective more then PUA, I would argue this is false. Female hierarchies are a little different then men's, but every bit as real and prevalent. (Hello menstrual syncing) Men are much less willing to engage in conflict over petty differences because of the cost associated with this. When men fight for status, there is the threat of violence and injury (still to this day, and certainly from an evolutionary perspective); which is why we tend to ignore the small shit.

Also. TV isn't real. They are all attention whoring for the camera.

Also false. I have known many Gay men who are self centered drama queens, but even more who are just people. My current roomm8 is gay (and the best wingman ever) and we get along great. You are stereotyping large swaths of the populace based on a reality tv show, and it seems like the issues might be more yours then theirs. (No offense m8)

The observations are not more than generalities. There are always exceptions, that is an assumption that was not stated but should be considered a given.

I've met a lot of gay men that are awesome, my neighbor for example, great guy we go drinking all the time. I've also dated several women that are 'fag hags' and their groups of gay, male friends were just awful people.

Of course TV isn't real, again a given. However, the themes are real and more present in our society than one should be comfortable with. Trainwrecks generate ratings (see Jersey Shore) and this, much like any frequently watched show, is clearly taking things to an extreme. But, it's in the extremes of life that reality is actually seen because it's no longer buried and subtle...it's clearly visible. AND, it is a game so it's not like the stakes are all that REAL in a life-threatening sense.

As for stereotyping large swaths of people, that too is false. I see people as individuals, except for the Dutch, but I'm also fully aware that there are 'short-cuts' to life. Fact is a lot of people these days are acting is some pretty ugly ways. Pointing out the obvious actions of women these days shouldn't be a crime. There are still people out there that are holding onto a false frame of reference regarding how people act in life. Especially in our culture today. Things, they are a chaning man. The themes that presented themselves so obviously on this show are legitimate themes that are engulfing large numbers of people. I highly recommend you check out this website:

http://heartiste.wordpress.com/

The site focuses on game and current social trends that are washing over us in ever growing waves. The scientific studies that are routinely discussed in this blog are clearly proving out that growing numbers of wimenz are embracing the 'Survivor Mentality' that I discussed previously.

Finally, not all women are like that (NAWALT). As a saying, it exists for a very real reason because it's true. Not all gay men are like that, not all men are like that, not all women are like that...but, there are far more of them that are like that than a healthy society can weather. For you to make the assumption that I don't fully understand that is ridiculous. It is possible to be open and accepting of people and to give them a chance in your life and still understand what a lot of people are truly like in this world. Identifying these behaviors or the potential for a person to have them is crucial to game and relationship selection.

Then again, this is an anonymous forum so what does it really matter what anyone on here says? Isn't that right m8?

I agree with br. the gay men you know who are just people can put on a good front. But I have never known of one that was not somewhat of a drama queen, especially the single ones. I've tried to get some of the good looking ones out to wing, that i've worked with, and known, and such. they are always pushing the envelope on me for sex. But otherwise they can put on a good act as just people.
