I am still practicing getting over AA. When I went to the mall I tried this tactic to get over AA by stopping any hot girl I see no matter what and saying something no matter what. When I was on the phone I saw a hot girl and stopped her and asked "do you know where PF Changs is?" eventhough I didn't need to go there. It was just my goal to say something. It turned out where she said "it's hard to explain let me just walk you there." I told my friend on the phone "don't worry I have someone giving me directions" just as a good segue line to get off the phone and talk to her on our trip to PF Changs. It turned out we started talking and she even took off her shoes to keep with my pace. Silly me that I did not even ask for her number. However that was an insta-date, and I realized a lot of things in this unintentional action and use it in the future as a pickup routine.

Pretend to talk on the phone and ask a girl for help (can be interpreted as a FTC). Ask a hot girl walking in your direction a question of advice (preferrable asking for directions). This can be interpreted as a situational opener as well. When she stops to answer your question go back on the phone and say "don't worry I don't need any help I will call you back." Then follow your own path. If you ask directions and the directions seem complicated FTC with "I don't want to be late and get lost can you just show me there" and use that as an insta-date.
