Hey everyone,
I'm Shay. I moved in to Richardson, Dallas few weeks. I'm 21 a year old student. I have fairly decent game in my social circle but zero in the cold approach. I am from another country and I feel intimidated to go out alone and approach girls. I'm interested in day game. Would appreciate any form of guidance. I hope to find a wingman or two from Richardson or Dallas in this forum.
Cheers!!

Welcome to the board. Where are you from?
Cold approaching is great and I think there should be more talk about working the social circle. It has the benefit of social proof making it more effective and easier.

Thought I'd share what I've read on social circle game (summarized from Savoy's “Magic Bullets”)
Advantages:
Your value is generally assumed to be higher and relatively close to hers
She is more likely to learn about and believe good things about you
She should be less “flaky”
She should trust you more easily
You can interact with her without her thinking you are hitting on her
You don't have to open or transition
You have more time to make a positive impression
She can observe your good qualities rather than your having to tell her about them.
Comfort is vastly easier
Disadvantages:
Women do not want to feel “easy” or be made a fool in front of her social circle
Some women say they don't “go out with people from work” or “date their friends”
You need to be “on” for a lot more time
There are other risks involved in terms of reputation accumulated (lack of success kills pre-selection and too much success gives the reputation of a player)
Misc advice:
Social circle is not a place to practice
Peer endorsement is critical in social circle game
Don't put a girl in a potentially embarrassing situation in front of her friends
Logistics can be more difficult
Expanding your social circle will help with meeting people this way
