Evening folks; I'm Jehdin, a 31 year old AFC. A friend of mine recommended PUA after my ex-fiancée and I split ways about a year ago, but I never acted on it until recently. I've gone through The Game, and I must say that my interest is piqued. I've been led to this site via Reddit's Seduction subreddit, and...well, here I am. I can't say that I quite grasp everything that I've read, but the ideas and mindset of the PUA intrigues me, and I want to know more.

I am probably your cookie cutter AFC - I'm a bit overweight, could probably use some cleaning up (aka I need a haircut, and more focus on my wardrobe), usually spend my nights at home with the roommates, and tend to veg out in front of the PC. I have been sexually active, but I can count my partners on both hands. Breaking the ice and sealing the deal are my main problems; after the clothes come off, I can handle my own, but I suspect that's a wholly different topic.

I'm hoping that this site, and PUA in general, will lead to providing me the self-confidence I want, to be able to approach and close on girls I am attracted to.

Inner game is just as important as outer game. Get a trainer and a nutritionalist, p90x whatever it takes. Playing world of warcraft is a really tough way to meet hot girls. Get one of your girl friends or friends wives that you trust and have them go shopping with you. Either that or find a woman in a store that you feel comfortable with and have her take the time to give you a crash course on fashion. Dallas has amazing stores that can make anyone look good.

The last couple of months have been spent rousing myself from lethargy; I've lost ~30lb and don't plan on quitting any time soon. I've learned my lesson, and quit WoW and most MMO's for good. I still enjoy gaming, but I am not going to let it consume my time, money, and energy like it once did.

I appreciate the welcome; wardrobe is the first thing I'm going for. Any recommendations as to some good shops?

Welcome jehdin!! so here's your AFC mission one...go out and ask ten girls you think are hot for cool places to by clothes. Tell them you'[re new in town or you're going on a hot date with this girl. but get those social interactions started and learn how to get valuable advice from the field and not a bunch of people on an internet board...some of which are trying to sell you advice. Girls are like the google of infield PUAs.

Exactly. Don't ask us when it gives you a perfectly good excuse to talk to girls and use a genuine opinion opener. If you're still having trouble finding places two weeks from now, then we will tell you!
