Just moved down to the Houston area but I have a few friends up in Dallas so thought I'd join the board. I am definitely new at this all and am currently working on extracting myself from a long term relationship. I've just been feeling really guilty in doing so. ANYHOW umm my best game so far (ie when I was in college before the current girlfriend)

Look for hottest girl at bar and wait for her to approach bar. Approach bar right after she orders and ask her if she has any suggestions for a real MANLY drink. I like to say it a little rough with a laugh. This leaves her open to tell me if she's taken or not (and yes I do care if they're taken ... I'm not ready to deal with the AMOG yet). I then enter into convo, assume she's interested, and claim that the next song is one of my favorites (insert some fake sentimental memory) and have her get out on the dance floor with me. I dance incredibly retarded on purpose (is that a bad idea?) and then get closer and the booze typically sets in and we'll typically start making out and whatever benefits may come after that.

That's about it. I'm 4 years out of practice and that's all I've got. And I haven't even practiced that one too much since I was single for a good 3 months between the current and previous girlfriends.

Anyhow looking to read more posts and whatever lit everyone else is in at the moment ... maybe I'll be able to get some practice in soon.

I do this all the time, but never "on purpose". (I have Down Syndrome) I think you want to make sure you don't come off as quallifying yourself to her--(trying to entertain her so she will like you).
