Newbie, don't know where to start

Hi guys!

I'm new here now. I'm actually from Germany, meanwhile 27 years old but didn't have any (sexual) relationship. I have to admit that I also haven't got any friends. I have got some acquaintances, but no friends. However, I think it should be makeable, still if I haven't any friends.
For building up social skills, I tried "Rules of the Game" in 2009. It worked to make me approach strangers. But nothing more. I did it 8 days long, until I felt some self-esteem issues. I felt how my self-confidence grew, but my self-esteem was very weak.
Since then, I haven't done anything for getting girls. Sometimes I get approached. Last time I was approached by a nice looking girl, I could answer her questions, but I couldn't lead the conversation. She lead the conversation all the time! As I was saying something wrong, she interrupted me as if she didn't want me to break the vibe!
However, I'm 27, 185cm large, but 122 kg heavy (due to steroids I had to take).
I don't know exactly where to start right now. Jon Sinns works could be something, as well as Routines game. But the world of PUA is so large that I don't know which one to choose. Even then, there's Pook and sosuave.net !
