I’m new to the community. Like most of us I made the discovery when I read The Game. A bit about myself: I'm original from the North, moved to Dallas for college. Like most guys in college I joined a fraternity for a sense of community and of course to meet sorority girls. However the reasons for me joining the organization soon changed and were no longer what I wanted. It changed from a social centered organization to a heavily religious centered one that looked down upon the idea of dating, unless it was to get married. As a result the social and dating experiences provided by a frat slipped by me.
So why am I here? Well my biggest problem is the initial encounter, after I feel confortable around a woman I can do okay, but until that point I struggle big time; I my biggest problem was what to say to a girl, “hey how’s it going” never really seemed to work. I resorted to online dating as a way to compensate, which took care of my initial approach fears but I miss the adrenalin rush that comes from talking to an HB for the first time person to person.
In addition to diving into the archives and wealth of information here, I also hope to interact with some of the veteran PUA’s and pick up some of their wisdom. I have a good handle on the material (cocky funny) but need a bit more with Mystery Method. I’m out of town for work, but when I get back I’d like to Sarge with some fellow new guys so that I will force myself to improve my game, and also to help each other out along the way.
