Hey, I'm new (which should be obvious, look at my post number) and I am wondering if you guys meet up any other time besides the first and third friday of the month. Like are there regular meets, like say every thurs or something? Well if you guys are interested in meeting up, give me a reply or a pm. I am pretty new, so I am not too good, but that is why I am here. I will be 21 on the 22nd of Nov, I know you guys like to go to 21 and up venues.
Pretty much looking for some help and pointers in the field from real people, and not these kjs from masf. I think real people will help my game out the most, if I can hang around people that are at a better skill level than I am (which should be almost anyone).
Oh ya, and AA is a bitch for me.

Keep an eye out for posts in the Events forum.
Sometimes people will post if they're going to be out somewhere that night...though a good majority of the guys here (that I know) go to 21 and up bars.
I know there are a few 18+'s here that make it out to some of the Dallas 18+ clubs pretty frequently, but I'll leave it to them to reveal themselves.
As far as 21+ stuff, since you'll be 21 soon, the Dallas crew frequently hits Black Finn in Adddison on Mondays...then on Fri/Sat you can bet someone is doing something somewhere.
If you're looking for help or to get to know some of the guys, your best bet is really just to make it out to one of the 1st/3rd Friday meetups and get to know some people at cabana before you actually hit the bar/venue.
One thing about the meetups....if you go, you aren't going to be handed skill on a silver platter. You have to try for it....and you'll have a hell of a good time if you do.
First time I went out to one, I remember going home feeling pretty pumped only because I stuck around and actually tried opening sets etc.
There are always plenty of people there who can help you, but it seems like new guys rarely ask for help.....or get cold feet and bail really quickly.
Don't be one of those.
The only way to overcome AA is to force yourself to overcome it. Once you do that, you'll realize approaching isn't a big deal at all, and you won't have a problem.
Just keep that in mind when you're thinking about opening that first set.

While we have tried and searched we just can't find a good Thursday night location. Cowboys Red River I find to be good however almost no one else agrees with me.
Come out to the meet at Cabana. You won't be able to make it to the venue but it really helps getting to know the guys a little.
I remember the first time I met Alphamo. He stuck around and hung out with us at Sherlock's. Then I started seeing him on a frequent basis and I can attest to the fact that he has improven maybe more than anyone else I have seen. A lot of that has to do with the fact that he actually comes out.
Most people give a try but really just half ass it. And you know what I never see those guys again and they are at home jerking off to porn instead of nailing some hottie.
Hopefully you aren't the latter.

Nice meeting you the other night just/us... you'll do well if you stick with this i can tell.
Thursdays several of the guys usually go out to purgatory or cirque as well if you are down with club game... i know i'll be heading to purgatory tonight. If you don't know thursday is college night so you can get into purgatory and cirque... so come on out :) Lots of girls in your age range there. Sherlocks is usually pretty happening and a lot of guys go there fri/sat... but it is a bit older crowd and not quite as high of a hottie ratio as the clubs
Cowboys is definitely a good crowd on thursday but you gotta be able to stand being the country music/bar scene. If you dance country tho, there are always chicks diein' to be asked to dance there. Also as an under 21 I believe it's $20 to get into cowboys unless they dropped it (ouch).
There are usually a couple of under 21s that come out on fridays so you can head to an all age venue with them until your b-day, which i believe you said was in just a few weeks.

Cowboys sucks.
It's loud, it's Country, and the quality there is suspect...
Having said that, if you go with the guys from the group you're going to have balls out fun.
You need to come out to the groups, you need to be involved. That's the best way to get good..

Yep mASF is full of KJs. Actually any community like this will have it's fair share.
Definitely check out the meetups and get to know people. Also I'd recommend that if you want advice and feedback let some of the more experienced guys know...most won't assume others are there and necessarily interested in constructive feedback or critiquing of their game unless it's asked for. Go do some laps with the experienced guys and watch them in set, not just hanging out, then debrief afterwards.
